1. About these terms
This website, www.gastricsleeverecipes.com (the "Site"), is operated by Gastric Sleeve Recipes LLC ("we", "us", "our"), a California limited liability company.
By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Parts of the Site are free to read. Other parts are available only to paying members ("Membership"). These terms apply to everyone, and sections 5 to 8 apply additionally to members.
2. Important notice: the Site is closing its paid Membership
Please read this section before subscribing or renewing.
We are winding down the business side of the Site. This means:
All paid Memberships will end on December 31, 2026.
We will not bill you for any period that extends beyond December 31, 2026. Your final payment will cover a billing month that ends on or before that date.
You do not need to do anything. We will cancel all Memberships and stop all recurring billing before that date.
From January 1, 2027, the Site is intended to become free to the public, with the recipe content remaining available at no charge. We give no guarantee about how long the Site will stay online after that date.
If there is content you want to keep, download or print it before December 31, 2026.
If you are subscribing now, subscribe knowing that your Membership will not continue past the end of 2026.
3. Not medical or nutritional advice
Please read this section carefully. It is the most important part of these terms.
The recipes, articles, meal plans, nutritional figures, and other content on the Site (the "Content") are provided for general informational and educational purposes only. They are not medical advice, nutritional advice, dietetic advice, or a treatment plan, and they are not a substitute for the guidance of a qualified professional. Paying for a Membership does not change this.
Bariatric surgery, including gastric sleeve surgery, carries individual dietary requirements that vary by patient, by procedure, and by stage of recovery. What is appropriate for one person may be unsafe for another.
You should:
Always follow the instructions given to you by your surgeon, bariatric team, physician, or registered dietitian.
Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any change to your diet, especially after surgery.
Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you have read on the Site.
Nutritional information, portion sizes, and stage guidance (for example, liquid, puréed, soft, or regular stages) are estimates and general guidance only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your circumstances.
If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately.
You use the Content entirely at your own risk.
4. Allergens and food safety
Recipes may contain or omit ingredients relevant to allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions. We do not guarantee that any recipe is free of any particular allergen. It is your responsibility to check ingredients and labels, to prepare and store food safely, and to make sure a recipe is suitable for you.
5. Your account
To take out a Membership you must create an account. You agree to:
Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Keep your password confidential.
Be responsible for everything that happens under your account.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
Accounts are for one person. Do not share your login. We may suspend or close an account that is being shared, or that is used in breach of these terms.
You must be at least 18 to hold an account.
6. Fees, billing, and automatic renewal
Monthly subscription. Membership is sold as a monthly subscription at the price shown when you sign up.
Automatic renewal. Your Membership renews automatically each month, and your payment method is charged the monthly fee in advance, until you cancel or until Membership ends on December 31, 2026 as described in section 2. By subscribing, you authorise these recurring charges.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Price. We will not increase the price of an existing Membership during the wind-down period.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access to member-only areas until payment succeeds.
7. Cancellation and refunds
You may cancel at any time, through your account settings or by emailing info@gastricsleeverecipes.com. No reason is required and no cancellation fee applies.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month. You keep access to member-only content until then, and you will not be charged again.
Because Membership is billed monthly and cancellation stops the next charge, we do not generally give refunds for a partial month already paid for. This does not affect any refund right you have under applicable law, and it does not limit our commitment in section 2 not to charge you for any period after December 31, 2026. If we do charge you for a period extending beyond that date, contact us and we will refund it.
8. Member content
Member-only Content is licensed to you, not sold. While your Membership is active — and afterwards, for any copy you downloaded while it was active — you may use that Content for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not share, republish, resell, distribute, or post member-only Content, or give anyone else access to it. Doing so is a breach of these terms and we may close your account without refund.
9. Permitted use of the Site generally
You may view, download, and print freely available Content for your own personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
Copy, republish, redistribute, sell, licence, or otherwise commercially exploit the Content without our prior written permission.
Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect Content by automated means, including for the purpose of training machine-learning models.
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, to other users' accounts, or to any connected systems.
Remove or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice.
10. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its Content — including text, recipes, photographs, graphics, layout, and design — are owned by or licensed to us and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The name "Gastric Sleeve Recipes" and our logo are our trademarks.
Nothing in these terms transfers any ownership rights to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Individual recipe ideas and lists of ingredients are not themselves protected by copyright, but the written expression, photographs, and presentation on this Site are.
11. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, products, or privacy practices. If you follow a link away from the Site, you do so at your own risk and these terms no longer apply.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close your account, without refund, if you materially breach these terms — for example by sharing member-only Content or your login.
Subject always to section 2 and to section 7, we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site. If we permanently withdraw member-only access before December 31, 2026 for a reason other than your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the month you have paid for.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR SUITABLE FOR YOU.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR MEMBERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SITE OR THE CONTENT — INCLUDING ANY PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, OR ADVERSE HEALTH OUTCOME — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS (US$100).
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
16. Privacy
Our handling of your personal information is described in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.
17. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California, and each party consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer resident in a jurisdiction that gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts, nothing here removes that right.
18. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one posted on this page, and the "Last updated" date shows when it last changed. If we make a material change that affects your Membership, we will tell you by email before it takes effect. Nothing in this section allows us to charge you beyond December 31, 2026.
19. General
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. We may assign or transfer these terms, including to any successor operator of the Site.
