Privacy Notice

This notice explains what information www.gastricsleeverecipes.com (the "Site") collects, why, and what you can do about it. It works alongside our Terms of Use.
The Site is operated by Gastric Sleeve Recipes LLC, 2127 Olympic Parkway, Suite 1006 #214, Chula Vista, CA 91915, United States.
The short version
If you just read recipes, we collect very little: the standard technical data your browser sends to our web host.
If you take out a paid Membership, we collect your email address, your account details, and a record of your payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe — we never see or store them.
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we never have. We do not run advertising.
1. What happens to your data when the Site closes its Membership
Paid Memberships end on December 31, 2026, and the company is being dissolved.
We will delete member account records — including email addresses and account details — after Memberships end and any final refunds or queries are settled.
We will keep payment and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally up to seven years). These are held for legal compliance only and are not used for anything else.
We will not sell, transfer, or hand over your personal information to a third party as part of winding down the business.
If you want your account data deleted sooner, email us and we will do it.
2. What we collect
Server logs. As with virtually every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical information each time a page is requested — typically your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, your browser and operating system, and the referring page. This is standard and is used to keep the Site running and secure.
Account information (members only). Your email address, your password (stored in encrypted form — we cannot read it), and your Membership status and history.
Payment information (members only). Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card details directly with Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. From Stripe we receive a record of your transactions, the last four digits and card type, and your billing country. Stripe handles this data under its own privacy policy, at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you write, and use it to reply
Analytics. We may use analytics to count page views and see which recipes are popular. It records aggregate information such as page URLs, referring sites, and general country.
We do not collect health or medical information. Please do not send us any — including details of your surgery, your weight, or your medical conditions. We have no facility to store health data securely, and we do not want it.
3. Why we use it
To give you access to your Membership and the content you have paid for.
To take payment and to issue refunds.
To email you about your Membership — including, importantly, to tell you about the wind-down and the end of billing. These are service messages, not marketing, and you cannot opt out of them while you are a member.
To keep the Site secure and working.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
4. What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for money or for anything of value.
We do not run advertising, and we do not host third-party ad trackers.
We do not use your information for behavioural or interest-based advertising.
We do not send marketing emails.
We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you.
5. Who we share it with
Only the service providers who make the Site work, and only as needed:
Stripe — payment processing.
Our web host — hosting and server logs.
We may also disclose information if legally required (for example, a valid subpoena or court order), or where necessary to protect our legal rights or someone's safety.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Site — in particular, to keep you logged in to your Membership. Stripe may set cookies needed to process a payment and to prevent fraud.
We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser, but if you block the necessary ones you will not be able to log in.
7. How long we keep things
Server logs: retained by our host for a short period, typically no more than 90 days.
Account records: for as long as your Membership is active, and deleted after the wind-down as described in section 1.
Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Emails: as long as needed to deal with your query.
8. Links to other sites
The Site may link to other websites. Once you click through, this notice no longer applies. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults, and Membership is limited to those 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

Ask what personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct it.
Ask us to delete it (note that deleting your account data will end your Membership).
Get a copy of it.
We will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
California residents. California's "Shine the Light" law (Civil Code §1798.83) lets you request details of any personal information we disclosed to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. We make no such disclosures. If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies to us, you additionally have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information — we do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off.
EEA and UK visitors. The Site is operated from the United States and is not directed at the EEA or UK. If you use it from there, your data will be processed in the United States. Our lawful bases are performance of a contract (for Membership), legitimate interests (running and securing the Site), and legal obligation (tax records). You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and objection, and may complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting members will be sent to you by email.
