Hummus & Veggie Sticks

INGREDIENTS FOR HUMMUS:

  • Chickpeas, cooked - 3/4 cup (123 grams)
  • Tahini (ground sesame seed paste) - 1 tbsp (15 grams)(click here for a good one)
  • Olive oil - 1 tbsp (14 grams)
  • Water - 1 tbsp (15 grams)
  • Lemon, juice only - 1/4 medium (12 grams)
  • Cumin, ground - 1/4 tsp
  • Garlic powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Paprika, ground - 1/8 tsp
  • Sea salt - 1/4 tsp

VEGGIES OF CHOICE:

  • Celery
  • Carrot
  • Cucumber
  • Sugar snap peas

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Drain the chickpeas but do not rinse them.
  2. Add all the hummus ingredients to a food processor (not a blender) and mix until creamy.
  3. Serve 1 ounce of hummus with 2 ounces of your veggie of choice. Enjoy!

*Note: Divide equally by the listed number of servings. Hummus stays fresh in the refrigerator for 5-7 days.
