Nutritionist notes: Pure maple syrup and agave syrup are two natural sweeteners that we use in some of our recipes. They are much better alternatives to table sugar or any artificial sweeteners. They also have a lower glycemix level, which means that it does not cause a spike in blood sugar as rapidly as table sugar does. Plus, they add an extra hint of flavor that makes a tasty addition.
